Could I have done a good job? Absolutely. But I’ve already had to deal with the bullshit that surrounds pageants etc for a couple years, and I need a break. The national promoter deserves a lot of kudos for what she does. I just wish the local promoters would follow suit and use her as an example. It’s tiring constantly dealing with people who have to fake the smiles and the flattery, when we both know the truth. I have plenty of other people who support me and who DON’T fake the smiles that I don’t need to two-faced crowd. I don’t play those games.
It’s just sad to me that others do.
It’s sad that that’s what the people in this community have sunk to.
It’s sad that those people don’t think that others see right through their shady flattery and condescending attitudes.
There’s a difference between putting on a professional face when you have to work with those you may not necessarily care for, and trying to stroke an ego or serve up some bullshit just to get what you want out of someone.
